OTHER ACTIVITIES **
Complete one research and/or acquire added clinical competence in a specific area of family medicine within the 2 years. The scope of this activity shall be decided upon at the beginning of the 2-year period.
One research project and/or specific area of study in family medicine completed in the two year period.

* Monthly Meetings

Fellowship trainees shall meet at least once each month. This has been planned from 5.15 pm to 6.45 pm on a weekday, possibly the last Wednesday of the month. Each fellowship trainee must attend at least 75% of these sessions. Fellowship trainees would take turns presenting cases and review topics. These sessions could also be used for other training activities eg. Planning of research projects.

 

** Log Book and Exit Interview

At the Exit Interview, the log book would be discussed. It should contain the following

  1. Portfolio recording of the 5 cases and 5 topic reviews every 6 months & attendance record of Fellows meetings.
  2. Detailed write-up of the 4 cases and the 4 topic reviews which were presented. The trainee is encouraged to submit these for publication in peer-referenced journals.
  3. Attendance record of the 4 skills courses.
  4. Attendance record of teaching responsibilities.
  5. Report of research and/or added clinical competence in a specific area of family medicine.
  6. Report of the three 6-monthly formative assessment interview by mentor and summative exit interview with Censors' Board.

A copy of this log book when certified would be kept in the College's library.
